 The inscription edited in this paper is the third bilingual Chinese-Sogdian epitaph to be made known, following that of Wirkakk (Shijun) and Wiyusi Nanai-vande Kekan, published 2005 2017 respectively. new a Sogdian lady who died 736 CE. Apart from its linguistic interest, it important as attesting conversion “heretical” Buddhist Sanjie or “Three levels” movement, which remained popular despite being officially suppressed under Tang.
